This year I had fun in my art class with my teacher Mr. Renner. Sometimes it was fun and when I was lazy I would see it boring and that it was too much work. But as the months went by art class was getting funer and funer. When I first stepped into Mr. Renner’s class I thought his class was going to be boring. I thought we were just going to draw in their in which I was wrong. I discovered that class brings out peoples talents and most of all its just a class were you can show to the rest of your classmates your style and taste whenever were doing projects. The best thing out of this class is that all we do it meant for us to have fun.
In that class I had 3 favorite projects. Projects that made me have to focus in order for it to come out right. The 1st completed project from this semester was the booklet. We had to make a book out of papers we had to sow them together once we did we had to connect the papers and sow that together once again. Then we had to get a piece of cardboard and super glue it to the paper making it the cover of the book. It might sound easy but it took around 3-5 days. Then we would just get construction paper and make a cover out of it. The 2nd project I completed this semester was the distortion grid drawing. In this project we had to pick a picture out of a magazine and draw it in a white paper sheet. In the white paper we had to draw rows and columns and number them in order to know what to draw in each box. This project was challenging for me because I chose a girl and her hair is everywhere it was difficult but Mr. Renner helped me finish it and motivate me to keep on going that I was almost finished and so I did. The last and final project I did this semester was the collage. Basically what we did was put pictures it could be random or related to each other and choose a back ground. I did mine showing that girls rule the world weather it was our way or the high way.
Some similarities of these projects are that they all made me think and want to bring the best out of me. Show my classmates what I can do. They all took at least 2 days or sometimes even more. The collage and the grid I was trying to use my mind to make up something new. The book is similar to the collage and the grid because they all involve pictures. After we were done with the book we had to make it our own style and place in pictures. Their all considered art. They were all for grades. We did it in class.
Some differences are that the grid your are using one picture while the collage your using several pictures to make one. The grid took more time and patience to create while the collage was easy and finished it in one day. The booklet took different skills to make it.
These 3 projects were fun made me think and made me want to do them perfect. It was fun. They all made me realize how good and talented I was. At first I was scared to show my drawings to people because I didn’t know weather they were going to like them or not. Once Mr. Renner told me they were improving each time it made me want to draw even more and challenge myself. That’s when I realized I could draw. Don’t get me wrong though im neither an artist nor can draw like one but it was actually pretty good. This year I had fun in art class because we did more then draw we did piñatas, projects, etc. Projects that made you think. Overall I think this class was the coolest out of all my classes because we would actually have fun. I know I improved in my drawing skills because of Mr. Renner if he wouldn’t have encourage me to keep trying and not give up I know I would’ve stopped trying and I wouldn’t even bother to try.
There has been three projects i have enjoyed creating this semester in Mr.Renner's class and the three projects are the Monochromatic picture, the book we made from scratch,and the piñata.The monochromatic picture was very interesting because we created an image using only one color and this was something i never did do before and didn't know i could do using paint. The book we made from scratch was made by using needles and thread but of course we had to use paper which was covered with cardboard and colorful paper, and this was interesting because we made a real book from scratch and this was something i thought i'l never be able to do, and i hope to do it again.The piñata we did was covered in paper mache and i came up with a structure that i really didn't know what the structure was, but making this art piece has been very interesting and we went through techniques that people who make piñatas go through, so making piñatas are fun and i hope to do it it again in the future. Some differences is that they all had different structures,and all three projects had different ways in creating by using different techniques. After doing these three projects i have been interested in doing more and the thought of make work from scratch is an challenge,but it isnt a challenge out there i will not take, so any project that is given to me in the future i will be willing to complete it even if its the hardest project needed to complete.

My 3 projects dont got manny similiarities,but got some.My 3 projects were made from paper.Two of them were painted.My projects also similar by the colors that i use,that is purple blak and blue. My projects also had differences.The biggest difference is that one of them was painted and the other 2 were made up ina shape.they also were in different ares of subjects. Well my experience wit this subjects contribute a lot.Now i know how to do pinatas.I also learn how to mixx primary colors to make secondary colors.I learn how to do a book,and now if i need a book i can make one.Thanks Mr,Renner for this wonderfull techniques that u show us.
For this final have chosen three projects that I have done this school semester. Two of which I’ve done in my 6th period Art class and one I did in my 8th period English class. The first project is a collage. A collage is where you use different pieces of pictures and glue them or tape them on a sheet of paper or any other material, the pictures don’t have to resemble in anyway. In my collage, it had a T-rex skull, birds, referring on how birds and dinosaurs relate to each other and it also had pictures of strange fish that live in the darkest depths of the ocean. My collage has things to do with animals, extinct, alive and animals that we didn’t know existed. Too me each animal in my collage mean something, the T-rex a land animal who symbolizes sheer strength, a bird who symbolizes smaller and more peaceful version of a T-rex and fish from the depths reminding everyone where everything possibly came from. The second project is something that I don’t know the name of but I do know how to make it. You first choose picture from a magazine. You then cut it out, after that you use a ruler. With each inch you mark by the side and the top. You then, from each mark, you make a line across the picture. Now you get a sheet of paper and do the same thing with the ruler and the lines. After that the lines should be forming little boxes. Now you copy what you see in the boxes located in the picture to the blank sheet with its boxes. The picture I have chosen for this project was a deer. The reason for this is because it was an animal and at the time of making this it was the only picture that interested me. The dear was eating grass looking at the camera and I thought it was a nice picture to draw that’s why I picked it. The third and final project is called the tragic hero project. We read this story called Antigone then we later pick either Antigone or King Creon. I picked Antigone because in the beginning she wanted to make things better but in the end it scot her, her own life and the people around her. I drew her sitting on a stone chair looking sad, we had to draw a symbol to go with the character you choose so I drew a dove because it symbolizes love and peace and that’s what she was fighting for to begin with. We also had to put 6 or more quotes. It may not look or sound like it but these projects have something in common other than the fact that they have animals in them. They all have a meaning to me. The dove is a bird and it’s peaceful, the T-rex who symbolizes sheer strength and he may not be in it but Creon symbolizes that. They also tell a history and a story of evolution. The t-rex lived millions of years ago until a few million of years later they gradually evolved to birds; the fish that lived millions of years ago possibly are still living today along with the dear. This also includes human stories from the odyssey to Antigone to Hamlet things gradually evolve in this world. Now there are things that are different. One is that they are made very differently. One is a drawing the other is a collage and the last one is an English project one different then the second project. Also the Antigone project has a person in it, not just an animal. Their meanings are all different. In the collage it’s about history of animal evolution. In the Antigone project it’s about love and what’s right, and in the project with the deer in it I don’t really know its meaning. In conclusion, the reason why I picked these three art pieces is one, it has animals and I like animals, two it has a lot of meanings but it matters how a person views them, and three while I like them I felt they were unfinished and I wanted to show them off because of that, it’s probably because I wanted to get the burden of not really finishing it of me. But either way it was fun and I hope to make more of these kinds of projects in the near future.
6th Per. Art Finals ART FINAL We did and completed several projects in this class but if I had to choose three; it will be “the Collage”, “the Book”, and “the Distortion Grid Drawing”. They were my favorite projects. I chose “the Collage” because it brings a great sense of connection – it’s like getting different pictures and putting them together to make one big scene. I also chose ‘the book’ because it brings a sense of creativity. It helps you make your own book; with qualities’ like it saves you money, customize the number of pages and you conserve paper. I lastly chose ‘distortion grid drawing’ because it shows a grid identity. You got to follow the outlines of the drawing in order to make it perfect. It changes from one perspective to another. This piece of project was my favorite. Similarities – All three projects bring a great understanding and artificial facts. Differences – The difference is the sense of organization and color. However, these three projects mean lots to me- they are meaningful
For my art final I choose to do the handmade book, the piñata and the monochromatic painting. I actually enjoyed learning about many things in art class and the things we can create using our imagination. Art is a very important thing in our world and we also see art in our daily life’s and I personally admire the artists who create take their time to complete the creation. The handmade book we did was done by sewing together multiple pages and putting a cardboard as the cover. I finish decorating it at home. I did mine yellow with stars and now I am using it to get my friend’s signatures before school is over. It took a really long time to complete it but I really like how it ended up like. The piñata I made was a cat and first we blew a balloon and we cover it with some papers that were wet with water and glue. After days it got dry and I shaped it more like a cat and then I painted it purple. The eyes were dark yellow and the final thing was the rose on its ear. My third project is the monochromatic painting. I started by choosing an image and then had to choose one color. I had to mix some other colors to make the dark blue I wanted. Then I painted the image in to a cardboard with only using the dark blue color. The similarities of this three projects were that it took a long time to complete them. Also the book and the piñata are things that we can see in our daily lives. I got to try the similar work people do to complete this things. I used similar materials for the monochromatic painting and the piñata. Some materials were cardboard and the paint. They were all challenging. The differences are that the piñata was much larger than the book. Also the piñata I did was in multiple colors and the painting I used only the dark blue color. Another difference was that the most challenging project to me was the book because when I sewed it wrong I had to do it again. I never had an art class since elementary and it was really fun this year. I learned about many new things such as this projects I mentioned before. I got to do handmade things that we see in this time. Basically now I have an idea of the work that artists do to create art. I learned that you can also express your feelings in the things you do. I was a wonderful year and I hope I have art next year.

Art Final
